Development Notes: Custom Programming using MVC framework cakePHP
Technologies used: PHP, MYSQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Google Adsense

This project began with a jpeg to indicate style and layout. I sliced and diced and created a global css stylesheet. The client wanted to be able to change the homepage image without calling me all the time, so the admin area now allows for this. I added Google Adsense code to each page.

I added the ability for the admin to allow uploading images for each category. The category image is displayed just before the gradient with text.

I also created the ability for each product to have a certain number of colors complete with images of the product in that color. I also programmed it so that when the website customer clicks on a swatch the main image is updated to display either a large view of the swatch color or the product in that particular color. When the user makes this click, the drop-down is automatically selected and set to this clicked color. View in action >

The admin area also allows for meta tag insertion for title, keywords, and description. This makes it really easy for the client or their SEO specialist to changes these fields.

Finally, I connected the shopping cart to SiteLink which is a mail order managment software. This allows the customer to maintain one order system for web and in-house orders.
