I worked as web master and database administrator for High Country Gardens for over 2 years and I still continue to provide support as needed.
A few years ago, I launched a much more feature-packed site for HCG. The transition was nearly perfect. I served as Designer, Project Manager, Programmer and Developer for the project.
The new site was built with PHP, CGI, JavaScript, and MySQL. It was complete with a custom content management center (CMS).
It also had the following features: SEO and ROI determining factors built in , Mod-Rewrite for clean urls, Verisign SSL Certificate with Payflow Pro, XML Address Verification, Full-Text word search and binary, SQL complex joins, Job automation, Customer email list management center, Library center directly selling related products off resource pages, Crosssells and upsells on product pages
Since the initial launch there have been design and programming modifications. Note: This is my original design of the homepage:

I worked as web master and database administrator for Santa Fe Greenhouses for over 2 years. I helped with the tag and sign making process and provided continual support for the related databases. I did programming so that the editor, Cindy Bellinger, could easily update coupons and homepage text through a back-end content management system. I managed and troubleshooted the newsletter list subscriptions as well as monitored weekly email marketing emails.

Recently, I helped Bernadette get her many websites ready for her new book America's Conscience. I redesigned the book's website and added a forum and a mailing list management feature. I updated the other sites so that the new book could be purchased.

I wrote a custom javascript for a one of her clients. The script reads a text file the client can update. The file contains random testimonials for this client. The testimonial updates on the fly and is set on a timer. I tested that this javascript worked on PC IE and FireFox and on a Mac in FireFox and Safari. |

I worked with David Semerad, the former owner of Santa Fe Detours. I did some intense keyword studies and set initial benchmarks. I applied SEO techniques to each page and monitored the progress. I also did some design and programming on the previous website, which is no longer live after the last acquisition. I used css and javascript to create dynamic drop-downs that functioned in both PC and Mac browsers (IE, Firefox, and Safari). I designed specific tour pages as well as creating a link to the Better Business Bureau Report.
